MILD HIGH CLUB HOMAGE

Chicago-based psych-pop group led by Alexander Brettin Mild High Club have re-released album track 'Homage' from the 2016 album Skiptracing. Mild High Club uses fundamentals of 60s-70s pop, with strong vibes of classic bands like The Beach Boys and The Beatles deep at its core. 'Homage' features elaborate psychedelic instrumentation that swirls and swells, but seamlessly melts into a smooth and palatable song with lyrics that allow the listener to drift off into a detached state of mind: "Please just have a laugh with me, Cause you know I'm borrowing by now, These sounds, have already crowned, Come on it's a silly dream, Dreaming of the imagery unfound, The view sits nice from that cloud". 'Homage' is a fantastic modern take on a psychedelic dreamscape. -Ellie Rose-Davies
